Located in the Adirondack mountains in upstate New York, the Ausable river runs by Lake Placid, features a chasm and some great waterfalls. I created a course around one large falls and one small falls and a small cascading creek into the large river. The front nine is relatively dry, feature more tall grasses/bushes and some nice elevations. You'll see the big falls from #6 green and then #7 is a short par 5 down the river. #10 crosses over the river and the small falls and kicks off a wet, hilly back nine. 13 features the small river, 15 climbs up the hills near the big falls. This leaves a dramatic finish of a drive-able par 4 down the river, a medium-short par 3 across the river and a medium par 4 along the river towards the big falls. This course has a lot of water on the back, but it's very playable. At a par 71 and 7000 yards from the back (two other tees available) low scores should be easy to obtain.
