Created to display the best in country living, Barrington Polo Club offers all these amenities: polo grounds, an equestrian center, tennis courts in grass, hard-court and clay, two private lakes with sailing, a hedge maze and garden, a manor styled clubhouse, guest houses, a par 3 course and a meticulously maintained 18 hole golf course.
The main course is a parkland style course coming in at a par 72, 7365 yards from the tournament tees (6550 yards from the member tees). The front nine is a little longer and more open. The back nine has more elevation changes, shortens up and brings more water into play. Holes 9-15 are the target time to go for low scores. The greens are fast but fair. Putt well and low scores can be had; misreads can be tough, especially downhill. The course is set in tournament mode, so you'll see fast greens and grandstands, cameras and fans (in a tournament anyway).
