Located between Houston and New Orleans, the Lacassine Refuge was designated to help waterfowl and other creatures of the area. I created a golf course in the area that would allow for lots of wetlands, grasslands and the like to keep healthy wildlife and provide some human entertainment. This course is meant to be relatively hard, with lots of water and some length (7605 yards from the back tees) to keep the scores from getting too low. I tried to capture the swampy feel without going overboard with the fog. The double dogleg par 5 tenth starts off a four hole stretch on the back nine where scores can go really low or really high due to their risk reward nature.
